Have you been riding gravel roads, but passing up those fire roads? Have you turned around when you came to a muddy washout or creek crossing? Or do you just want to wring a little more adventure out of that big adventure bike you own? This intermediate adventure course is for you!
This is a 2 day immersive experience with riders who share your passion. And since we want you to focus on riding, we made it an all inclusive weekend getaway at our new facility in Franklin, West Virginia. Other than your tent and your favorite beverage, we provide food, camp fees, and a camp bag full of goodies. Every evening we have a fire pit for the riders to talk about the day’s experience. Sometimes, after hearing all the commotion and fun going on, world travelers and other professional riders are known to drop by and share stories of their own adventure rides!
We designed this class for those who are already comfortable riding gravel roads and with basic adventure skills, such as riding on the pegs, emergency stopping on gravel and dirt, and controlled hill descents. All of these skills are taught in our basic adventure ride classes, 101 and 120. In the 201 course, we will go over these skills again, but spend less time practicing them.
The 201 course is for those who are ready to start conquering more advanced obstacles such as muddy trails, baby head rocks, and water crossings. On the second day of the experience, you will start putting your skills to practical use on the national forest roads. At the end of this course, you will be ready to start riding those trails less traveled.
Just some of the techniques taught in the class:
• Advanced Bike Balancing
• Power Slides
• At-Speed cornering
• Riding over Logs
• Negotiating Rocky Obstacles
• Water Crossings
• Ascending and Descending Steep Rocky and Rutted Hills
• Off Camber Riding
We guarantee you will enjoy this adventure riding experience. Be prepared to be challenged!!!
